CT-Fusion is a 2 part heat catalyzed sealer combining the benefits of ceramic sealing technology and a micronized film technology together in two component product formulation. This sealer provides excellent stain and abrasion resistance.
It can be used on its own or over the top of CT-Protect for that long term protection and add MatteMax to control your sheen and add up to 10x abrasion resistance.
CT-Fusion Application
Agitate sealers thoroughly before starting. Dampen the applicator of choice with water then saturate the surface of the concrete, starting from one end of a piece and working towards the other end spreading sealer across the surface until it is fully covered. Liberally wipe-roll-spread, diluted sealer around the surface to evenly wet and saturate the concrete with a wet film of emulsion material. The saturated concrete should initially have a fairly wet-white translucent layer of sealer that transitions into a semi-clear thin film of sealer covering the surface as it soaks into the concrete. The better the open dwell time, to soak in, the better the sealing protection will be.
CT-Fusion is dependent on heat to activate. Optimizing the catalytic conversion needs a instant hot temperature of 250-350F or 120-175C (direct flame contact temperature) to create the catalyzation affect, which is critical for achieving the stain and scratch resistance it offers. Typical flash surface temperature, (not under direct flame) 140-170F or 60-75C. These are referring to the flash temperatures achieved while the flame is in contact with the concrete surface. Typical concrete application temperature is 65-90 F, of the overall concrete product.
Mixing Part A with Part B:
Add 4% part B, based on total weight of Part A. Example: 200 grams Part A, mix in 8 grams Part B.
Agitate to blend. Minimum induction time of 9-11 hour before use, it is optimal to blend the day before using. Agitate before use.
Open working time after adding Part B to Part A: 10 days.
Apply. The first and/or second application of sealer to raw concrete diluted with clean water 3:1 or 2:1 (Water : Sealer) as the raw concrete will absorb quickly. Using a dilution will help with work time. Typically one to three applications depending on the concrete surface.
Follow with applications of 1:1 diluted (Water : Sealer) Typically one to two applications Final applications use full strength sealer. Typically one to two applications.
The number of finish coats depends on the stain resistance required for a project. This usually ranges from 2 to no more than 4 applications. With ICT Reactive Sealers more sealer, excess of applications, will not improve performance. In fact it can slow the progress of the sealer cure.
Do not leave puddles of material on the surface.
